Don’t buy an inflatable until you’ve read this.
3 essential steps to take…
We believe buying an inflatable for your business should be easy. A seamless process from ideation, to design, to delivery and installation. Simple and effective for each and every client. There are THREE essential steps you should take before working with an inflatables company (I’ll outline these a little later). And beware, if you don’t take these steps, you end up with the GIANT CUCUMBER DISASTER. Now, if you’re thinking ‘what the hell is that?!’, you’re in for a treat. Take a seat, grab your tea and biscuits.
Fortune favours the bold, right? Well, Hendrick’s Gin decided to be bold and advertise their brand with a giant inflatable cucumber on the Sydney Harbour. And, wow, was it genius...had it not been for their choice in inflatable partner to create their precious cucumber.
Not long after its journey along the harbour, the giant vegetable ripped open and collapsed. See it in action here:
This was, unfortunately, a result of inadequate research. With a range of inflatable companies on the market, it’s increasingly important to ask the right questions prior to partnering on your project. So, here’s a guideline on what you should be looking for.
Step 1: Find a reputable company.
Too often, people first look for the cheapest options as the gold standard in their decision making. When a brand is on the line, this can lead to dire consequences. Your first step is finding a company that has a reputation. A company that is tried, trusted and tested. You should not be risking anything.
Step 2: Case studies.
Once you’ve found a reputable company, ask them for some examples of similar work they’ve done. Their work doesn’t need to be an exact replica of what you want, but they should be able to demonstrate quality work tailored to a brief and the capacity to innovate when necessary.
Step 3: Certification.
Once steps 1 and 2 are complete, you should also enquire in regards to the company’s certifications and standards. Does the company offer a certificate of compliance for the product? Do they give comprehensive instructions or offer installations? Do they have accurate wind ratings for each inflatable?
So, follow these 3 steps and you will undoubtedly create a memorable brand experience for your fans.
